OUR NOTARY SERVICES
We do the following:
- Notarise documents (see below)
- Lodge documents on your behalf at Embassies and Consulates
- Attend at your offices if you need us to do so
OUR LIST OF NOTARY SERVICES INCLUDE:
AFFIDAVITS
An affidavit from a foreign country will need to be sworn or affirmed in front of an Australian Notary Public.
APOSTILLE
Have you been asked to get an Apostille Stamp on a document? We can easily organise this for you. If it needs to be notarised first we can do that too. Misko Vujnovic, our Notary Public, (also known as Public Notary or Notary), is recognised by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) making him internationally recognised as an independent authenticator of your documents.
AUTHENTICATION
For authentication requests, we can notarise and organise the Authentication from DFAT as well as the legalisation at your Foreign Embassy.
ASIC DOCUMENTS
Frequent requests for notarisation are the Certificate of Registration and ASIC Company Extracts. We have specific wording to notarise these. Contact us to find out more.
BIRTH CERTIFICATES
The original can be used for an Apostille or Authentication but if you want to keep your original version we can notarise a copy for you.
CERTIFICATE OF GOOD STANDING
This is a set form of document which we are familiar with. There are specific company documents which need to be attached. Contact us to find out more.
CITIZENSHIP CERTIFICATES
These documents are often laminated or framed and therefore need to be copied and notarised so that they can be submitted to DFAT and other foreign embassies.
COMPANY DOCUMENTS
These include Certificate of Registration (or other ASIC documents), Constitution and Certificate of Good Standing.
DEATH CERTIFICATES
The original can be used for an Apostille or Authentication but if you want to preserve your original versions we can notarise a copy for you. We also notarise Embalming Certificates and other funeral documents.
DFAT – DEPARTMENT OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS AND TRADE
This is the Australian government and it will endorse official signatures on documents (including the Notary signature). DFAT will issue an Apostille for some countries (participating in the Hague Convention) or authenticate documents when applicable to other countries. We can organise fast turnaround lodgement with DFAT.
DIVORCE ORDERS
Even though these are orders made by Australian courts these documents are not automatically accepted overseas or at DFAT. Contact us to find out the process for getting Divorce Orders accepted at DFAT without notarisation.
MARRIED OVERSEAS
If you are getting married in an overseas destination (lucky you) we can notarise your identity documents. This may include your birth certificate, baptism or other religious ceremony documents and Certificates of no impediment to marriage.
UNIVERSITY TESTAMURS/ACADEMIC TRANSCRIPTS/ENROLMENT LETTERS and COLLEGE CERTIFICATES/AWARDS
We can notarise these but the Australian government requires us to obtain verification first. Here is an example of what you need to do to help us get this verification and save costs Here is the wording for an email when you need to verify for the Notary that the document is genuine. You should also cc me in the email at [email protected] — Dear Office Staff, My name is XX and I have been awarded the following qualification by your Institution: [state certificate name, eg Bachelor of Arts.] Attached is a copy of the Degree/Certificate. I am required to have this document first notarised and then legalised at the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFAT). Please confirm by reply email that:
- Your records show I have been awarded this qualification;
- The document attached is a true copy of the original issued; and
- The document attached is a genuine document.
You can simply reply with YES CONFIRMED. Please also reply to ALL in the cc in this email as I have my notary included as he needs the response directly from you. Thank you so much.
SCHOOL REPORTS
Australian schools issue reports and for these to be recognised overseas they need to be notarised.
FOREIGN PENSIONS
Have you been asked to prove that you are alive? We can assist you with this uncanny process so that you can claim your foreign pension or benefit from overseas. We can notarise your form or provide a Certificate of Life.
MEDICAL REPORTS
Are you a traveller needing your medication scripts notarised? Or perhaps you need to submit a medical report overseas? We can notarise medical reports but need to verify them first. Here is an example as top what we need from you: In order to notarise doctor’s reports or letters, the Notary needs to get confirmation that the report/letter is genuine. This is the case even when there is an original doctor stamp on the document. Here is the procedure:
- Scan the report/letter and email the doctor’s clinic.
- In the email please include the following in the cc to the email: [email protected].
- The email can say: “Attached is a scanned copy of a letter/report issued by one of the doctors in your medical clinic. In order for a notary to verify the document I require the medical practice to confirm a) it is genuine and b) that the attached is a scanned copy of the original. PLEASE reply with CONFIRMED. PLEASE reply to ALL in the cc since you need to confirm this directly to the notary. Your prompt reply is requested.
Thank you for your time on this matter. Regards
POWERS OF ATTORNEY
Do you need to appoint a person overseas to act on your behalf? In particular, our Notary Public is fluent in Croatian, Serbian and Bosnian languages and can notarise these documents for use in Croatia, Serbia and Bosnia & Herzegovina, without any need for separate and additional interpreting costs. This is increasingly important with travel restrictions. You may need to sign in front of a Notary an official Power of Attorney or an Authorisation Letter.
PROBATE
Australian probate documents (Grant of Probate – where there is a Will or Letters of Administration – no Will ) can be notarised for use overseas to deal with personal and family assets.
REPATRIATION OF ASHES – BODIES
Funeral directors often consult us to notarise embalming and crematorium certificates and documents issued by the Australian Health Department. We have a custom process to accommodate the need for translation once it arrives overseas.
TRAVEL PERMISSION – CHILDREN
Are your children travelling overseas without both parents? Children leaving Australia accompanied by only one parent or another guardian will need a notarised letter of consent. Contact us to find out what we recommend is needed for such a letter of consent.
